Our local Mako shark is dense and meaty making it exceptionally versatile. It is low in fat with a slightly sweet flavor. Mako meat has a similar flavor and texture to swordfish but is generally little darker and more moist. It's meaty flesh takes well to grilling and is great for tacos.
